The only bad thing is, since I thought it was going to be a boy, I planed out the baby room, and know exactly how it was going to be. Pirate themed. I had all the bedding picked out at babies r us, and I was going to have my father-in-law paint a mural ion the wall. But, I got exactly what I wanted, so it's time to start from scratch. The room is completely cleaned out! Just needs paint, and I trying to figure out the carpet thing right now.
Any ideas? I don't want anything too girly, I don't mind pink, but not pink all over.
Well, back to decorating. Not the babies room , but the office. Our idea is that if we won't do it before the baby comes, most likely we wont get it done!
I leave you with a text message Jon got from Forrest Rickard, who has two daughters of his own. "Congrats! Now you need a shotgun, purity book, and chastity belt!"

First of all Forrest's comment is classic. Also Pottery Barn has some really cute baby stuff. Most of them aren't too girly. I just saw my mom's catalog the other day. Here's the link :) http://www.potterybarnkids.com/shop/b/bedding/girls-nursery-bedding/index.cfm?cm%5Ftype=lnav
Make sure to let us all know what you pick out and the things you buy it's so exciting watching you guys go through this stage in life. I'm praying for all three of you. :)
I always wanted to do ladybugs we had a girl. I am SO happy for you and Jon! There will finally be another girl in our family!! Congrats again you guys!
Congratulations on a girl!!! Rachel's room is mint green top with a beige on the bottom. I have crib bedding to match that isn't girly, if you want to see pictures, leave me a message on my Facebook. :)
Yay CONGRATS! I really wanted a girl too and got my wish. :) Your Jon can talk to my Jon about the fears of raising a little girl.
We did ladybugs and dragonflies too because I didn't want pink frilly. If you find a bedding you like, you can look at the customer feedback on BRU and most people post pictures of what they've done. Maybe that will help inspire you.
Congrats! Holly and I did the same Lady Bug theme for our girls. Do you have a name picked out yet?
YEAH! I'm so excited for you guys. I've seen a lot of cute girl stuff lately in the Marie Antionnette style... which I love. like a chandelier made of out a tea pot and spoons with pink. pale blues, yellows, whites.
Happy hunting! So exciting!
Awesome! Glad you two are getting your girl!
When she is born give me a call and I'll come to your home and do an in-home newborn shoot while she is still all wrinkly as a congrats gift to you!
